Amber Bond, 22 years old, was diagnosed with VIPOMA. VIPOMA is a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor which secretes vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP). These rare tumors occur with a frequency of 1 per 10,000,000 per year. These tumors arise in the pancreas 90% of the time, but have also been described in the colon, bronchus, adrenals, liver, and sympathetic ganglia. Amber has had 2 surgeries to date her and her mother had both been out of work for months to get the best treatment she can.
